Windows Update in the left pane to hide updates I do not

I don't know how it happened, but when i go to change the desktop background
to a different picture, it points to all the pictures in documents/my
pictures instead of c:\windows\web\wallpaper. How to i point it back to the
wallpaper directory?

I have downloaded and installed most recent updates via
Automatic Update feature. 15 min of updates, and my free
space on HD shrinks by 1.5G! Possible explanation is that
the update installation process saves all the old data,

All of my windows are opening in half size, i maximise
them but it seems that a default some where is making
them open in half view, its the most anoying thing ive
ecountered.  Someone please HELP
