How do I disable the poop up which appears asking  do you
want to view the tour - WITHOUT having to actually view
it.
I have 50 or more computers to do this with!

I have several icons on my task bar that I use quite often, After I shut
down than start up the next time the icons won't appear in my task bar,
I go to my notification window and the icons i use have moved from the
current item list to the past item list, Then I have to go through ...

I seem to remember that you can change the font used when
you access all programs from the start menu in XP home.
How do you do this?

On my notebook computer running Windows XP Pro, when I log on admin account,
I double click the jpg file and the photo is open in photo editor
automatically.  When I log on a power user account, I double click the same
jpg file and the computer says no application program is ...

I have XP Professional amd for a long time I could go
straight to my desktop after pushing the 'On' switch,
then, for unknown reason, I now get the "To begin click
User Name" screen which includes the message to go to the

Just noticed today that I can't save themes...anywhere,
to any directory.  I create the new desktop, click
the "Save As" button on the Themes Tab in the Display
Properties Window, and nothing happens, and no theme file

I purchased Ultra window cleaner and downloaded it, seems to be doing
good job, Do I still need Spybot? I don't know if they both perform the
same functions, window cleaner cleans the registry, junk files,  C
drive, and surfing tracks. and a few other functions. Thank You Richard.

Whenever I open Explore in XP it always opens to the Start menu file. I have
tried all combinations in Folder Options to change my default to Program
Files. I have failed miserably.

Ok, this is a miner problem I have been having...
I'm a guy who loves to customize my desktop but My
Documents, My Videos, My Pictures, and several other
folders don't seem to like this idea. My Documents as

I noticed that almost all sounds longer than a few
seconds in length will not play through upon exiting
windows. I know this is a minor problem, but I'd like to
know if anybody has any idea about how to make windows

We have 3 individuals who use the same computer, one of
whom is visually impaired and requires a lower resolution
the the other 2. We have Windowsxp home edition and
cannot personalize our settings which is driving us

How can I make the background of the text under the icons of the desktop
transparent?

I am trying to install a minimal copy of win2k on a small partition
(E), to be able to boot to a os w/USB 2.0, so if I need to backup
using my 2.0 external hd, I would presumably have acces to it (i'm
open to other options).
