I noticed that when I open the Windows Explorer, I lost the yellow Icons in the Folders List (left hand column). Ofcourse I do have the list showinf whats on my PC but would like to have to yellow Icons back.

The 'create folder" option under the file menu is not on the drop down, and I am unable to create a new folder under Windows Explorer. It has also disappeared from the right click option. How can I restore this?

If I delete some desktop shortcuts on my logon screen, they also get deleted from the other users desktop screen. How can this be avoided?

New to XP (Pro) - I prefer XP style to Classic windows desktop, but only have 3 colour schemes in properties (Appearance) ie Blue (default), Olive green & Silver .... giving co-ordinated Start menues etc.

I had to have my HD reformatted and had to re-install XP. The 'Old" HD I could automatically start XP w/o picking my name out on the "WELCOMW" log in page.....HOW can I change this back to automatically start XP after I boot up? Thanks...Starchild
