Hi group, I'm running XP Pro and whenever I want to do just "vanilla" boot, i.e. restart after updates without shutting it down cold my drives are not detected. When I shut the power off completely it boots normally. Any ideas

I would like to be able to automatically signon the PC at boot. In other words I would like to store my password like in win2000 so that the pc just boots, signs me in, and displays the desktop. Any ideas?

My system loads an unbearable number of programs automatically and it therefore takes nearly 5 full minutes to get up and running. The system tray also loads FULL of icons.

All my folders including hard drive are picture folders. how do i change them to document folders. there is a customize option on mostfolders, however there isn't one on windows, program files or the hard drive.

i wonder how u change the win xp bootup resolution ? i am using 1600x1200 resolution but the bootup is only like 640x480 or even less. i know that on certain laptops the resolution is the same as the default desktop resolution.
