I do not seem to be able to change the color of the text under the icons on my Desktop (the icon labels). I can change the font type and font size, and even make the text bold or italic. But the color button is greyed out.

How do I permanently set Windows explorer to display details only. I am not a fan of the icons and do not enjoy resetting to details on every screen for every application.

I am trying to disable all visual effects on workstations. I would like to ensure no visual effects are loaded. I do not want to do this via System Properties --> Advanced --> Performance Is this setting possible with registry settings or gpo / rundll32?

Thru the user account in my control panel I"m able to put my name on the title bar in the Start menu. What is not working is the pic I choose is NOT going to the start menu title bar. It is however showing in the user account section. Any one know what is going on?

Although I have set the Folder Options to "Apply to all Folders" (view set to Details), My Computer regularly displays the contents of folders in Tile view. This happens at least 2-3 times a day.
