I set my shell to Program Manager.  I was wondering if

I recently bought a HP computer that came with XP Home. I
tried to upgrade to XP Pro using MSDN XP Pro that I
have.  It went through the first part and then complained:
"Cannot locate the windows installation you want to

Have set up a default profile that I want to copy to "Default User"
and/or "All Users".  However when I attempt to copy it - I get the
following erro windowsr:

My desktop has a menu bar along the left side of the screen taking up about 20% of that area.  Backgrounds do not penetrate it, icons on the desktop can not be re-arranged, changing themes only changes the color of the unwanted menu bar, altering desktop appearance has no effect ...

OK - I give up!  How do I change the welcome screen screen
saver?  I want the kids to log off when they are done with
the computer but want to have the welcome screen screen

I am running Windows XP Home Edition SP1 on a Dell 4500
with 40GB HD, 512MB RAM.  I have four (4) logons set up.  
Two (2) for my children and two(2) for Administrators
(myself and my husband).  

I'm not sure how it got there, but there is this new
search bar next to the address bar that I can't seem to
get rid of. I can remove it from the window I'm using, but
as soon as I open a new one, it's back! How can I remove

Several icons have disappeared from my notification area,
including :
-    SQL Server Service Manager
-    my favourite download manager

When I used TweakUI to get rid of the arrows on my desktop short cuts, low and behold It did that but made all my nice XP icons into , like 98,  folders included. Any help in a restore to previous Pre-Tweak would be greatly appreciated.
