SOmehow my girlfriend managed to move the taskbar to be
verticle on the right side of the screen.  It's driving
me nuts! How do I put it back along the bottom?

to get back to desktop,  and at work I have the quick
access buttons on my task bar...done by right clicking or

My students deleted the show desktop icon from the quick
launch bar on their computers.  I cannot find the icon on
the hard drive in the Windows folder.  Would appreciate
directions on how to get it back?

Is it possible to create a new profile to log into that does NOT start
up all the background programs/files?  Sometimes I need to use a
program that hogs resources and would like an easy way to just startup
without all the normal stuff running.  I know I can use msconfig but

I have just got to the Taskbar & Start menu via the STAR
tab then SETTINGS. Can anyone tell me how to remove Past
Items from the Customize Notifications under the customize

Yesterday after a presentation, someone just closed my
laptop without shutting it down. When I started it this
morning, everything - icons, fonts, you name it, was
really tiny. Screen resolution is 1280 x 1024. If I take

I'm using the classic windows start menu in xp. the start menu for me and
all users in the Documents and Settings folder don't match.
Where does xp get the information for the start menu??????

I'd like to use my own dig pics - the users own
likenesses.  Does anyone know how to do this?  I can't
seem to find where on the system these pics are stored.  I
think if I could locate them, I could take it from there.

I have a JVC digital camcorder When I first installed the
software Windows XP would ask me what I wanted to do with
the pictures any time I hooked the camera to the usb port
I had a problem with a driver from Gateway that locked up
