Every time I logogg, restart, switch user or restart explorer.exe, "My
Documents", "My PC", "Trash Can" and Network icons resets themselves to
their defaults...
Any idea why?

How do you customize shortcut icons on our desktop?
When I install a new program a shortcut appears. My wife
doesn't need it so she deletes it and then it disappears

Hi I have a laptop with a fully updated version of
Windows XP home. I have noticed two preference settings I
lose during boot up.
The first is that I like to have the status bar show when

 But when i opened the hardware manager, I couldn't find the com1 port, but
can only find the lpt1.

Hi all. When I right click desktop, properties, appearance and click on
effects, nothing happens. Effects is not grayed out. Just doesn't work.
