I have XP home. Right clicking on .exe files or shortcuts does not give the option to Pin to Start Menu. Is this something that has to be installed?

Hey, I had the same problem. I deleted the show desktop icon from the quicklaunch bar. Thanks Ramesh!! your information helped me. I had several other tips from others, but I never knew to pay attention to the double quotations. Thanks.

the control panel doesn't save it's display settings.I know the control panel is a virtual folder and wouldn't actually have a *normal* file in it but, is there something that takes desktop.ini place? winxp sp1

Is it possible to customize randomly chosen folders? For example, I want to set background A for folders B en C, I want folder D to display the files with details and in folder E I want the "small images" view.. Kind of difficult, I guess? ;-)
