I don't know how it happened...I just installed...ok ok I chose the advanced installation (how hard could it be?).  Anyway...I now have almost everything installing on D: (which is now left with 168 MB) and not on C: ...

How do you change the font color on the desktop of an XP
computer.  Under the desktop icons, some computers have a
white font, the rest have black.  I need to change from

Yesterday my notebook bogged down, Windows explorer would print one line
at a time to screen, taking a minute to fully show the files in a
directory.  Task Manager showed Notify.exe was using 92% on the cpu
column. I ended Notify.exe and everything was back to normal. What was
