The double arrows to the left of the system tray icons (also called the notification area) have disappeared from my task bar. All icons are now visible even if they are not in use. I have checked that the task bar properites

I keep getting an icon on my task bar "Local Area Connection. A Network Cable Is Unplugged". As I am now on Broadband I don't need this icon. I've tried hiding it under the "Always Hide" command but it always reappears
