If I move my mouse in a straight line from the start button to (say) Control
Panel the program list instantly obscures it. There used to be a short delay
which prevented this, but I can't find out how to restore it.

My applications disappear behind the start button when
minimized. The only way to get them back is to alt+tab to
them. I've checked all of the settings in properties of
the taskbar but nothing works. One other thing, when I

When I boot up windows xp "My Computer" starts

appears on the desktop. How can we stop this happening.

Oh boy! I am having a bad day! I have deleted the wrong
username! While I was trying to create a logon disclaimer
screen..something went wrong and it created a replica of
the user on the computer, with the same name, but not
