I like my wallpaper uncluttered. Usually hide my desktop
icons and work from the task bar. Always before in XP Pro
when I right tap the desktop and choose "Arrange Icons By",
I get a menu including "Show Desktop Icons". Turning that

I'm looking for a way to edit the registry so that caps
lock turns on at startup and then I want to prevent it
from being turned off

Anyone know how to get rid of those EXTREMELY
annoying "My Computer," "My Music," "My eBooks" etc...

Lately I have been experiencing strange problems with Windows (not Internet)
Explorer and My Computer.
After I reboot or log off and then on again everything works fine, but

I have windows XP set such that the hard disks shutdown after 5 minutes of
inactivity.. The problem is that the screen reverts to the windows logon
state. I ahve to enter a password again.  This is annoying. How does on hold
the desktop open yet power down disks.

 My computer will turn it's self on when my phone rings. Then will try to dial up to the internet. Can anyone help me fix my problem.

When I open anything - my computer, control panel,
network connections or whatever i get the folder list on
the left hand side.  if I hit the X button the "Folder
tasks" view appears.  I have gone into the folder options

I've got quite a few MP3's, half of which have the Media
Player icon where under Properties it says it is an 'MP3
audio file (mp3.  The other's in the same folder display
some generic icon that under Properties it just state's

How can I correct my desktop to look normal.  Everything
on my screen and even the mouse icon is upside down and I
cannot use my computer.  I really need help!  Thanks!
