A user would like to have the Shutdown, Restart and
Hibernate buttons displayed instead of the menu that

When I log onto windows XP it loads a lot of programs or
processes.  I would like to take some of those programs
out of the startup and not have them loaded into the
computer and not have that process running.  I have gone

I posted about this yesterday on the Windows XP General
newsgroup (902pm April 24) but without any solution. The
problem seems to boil down to this: somehow Windows Media
Player got installed on the list of toolbars accessible

I've got a few old programs that automatically load on
start up and run in the background.  11 icons are
displayed in the tool bar at the lower right corner of my
screen and at least 4 or 5 of them are unnecessary.  In
