I noticed that a document I had open yesterday in WORD was no longer available. I tracked the problem to the fact that the drive the document is on has suddenly changed its drive letter from "E:" to "G:".

I have a laptop running home xp. It's not running well and the only option under system restore is to return it to an early date which yeilded no results. There is no option full full recovery.

Whenever I try to load Office Premium to XP it gets halfway and bombs because "There is a Windows file needed that can't be accessed". I've tried to unhide and take the permissions off of Windows folders but this hasn't worked.
