Is has always puzzled me why the date does not appear
along with the time in the task bar at the bottom right
corner. Is there a way that there can be a permanant
display just like the time?

I am trying to correct the spelling of the logon name that

I can not figure out what happened, but any folder I open
is absent of a navigation bar at the top. The only way to
access the bar is to use Explorer rather than simply open.
