I am using Windows XP Home Edition.
When I select Task Manager or TYPE CRTL-ALT DEL, I do not
get a list of TABS or commands to choOse from.

I just installed Windows XP Pro on my home machine. I am
not using the local admin account for logining in instead
I created another user. I just noticed 2 additional
folders via Windows Explorer that I do not want 1)

Is there any downside to specifying the NOGUIBOOT option?
I would rather have time to look at the boot messages than see the pretty
screen.

I have a network that consists of 24 separate locations, each location
has a certain number of client computers.  I am only running XP Pro
and want to make all the desktops identical. can someone point me in
the right directions how this can be done.  All computers and software

I have 2 drives on my machine. The C drive is 40 gig and
the E drive is 15 gig. I just bought a 80 gig drive. How
can I move/copy/mirror the 40 gig C drive to the new 80
gig drive and make THAT drive the new C drive without

How do I reconfigure XP so that there are no user
accounts and start up is not delayed by the welcome
screen.  I am the only on using this computer.

Can I change the name for a system folder? How?

Renaming My Computer, My Documents or the Recycle Bin only lasts for one
session of Windows. When I log on the next time, they all revert to default
names. Anyone knows why?

I don't want to see the "A network cable has been
unplugged" sign and icon in the notification area of the
taskbar so I have checked the "always hide icon" in the
taskbar properties area but it still pops up when starting

Can anyone please tell me how to permanently turn off
the "network cable has been unplugged" icon in the
toolbar ?

I had Win XP in my laptop. I just instualled a Win 2K to
make a double system in my computer. The 2K acts at the
step where I should choose which system to use. As XP is
more advantaged, I guess, Win 2K can't start the XP

change the folder for "My Documents", but does anyone know

All of a sudden my Smileys disappeared. How do I get them
back?

I have these random folders appearing in My Documents
which I don't want, namely My eBooks and My Deliveries.  I
delete them and they keep reappearing, which leaves me
wondering if it's some response to something I'm doing
