Why does my System32 folder open at the startup of my
computer?

does anyone know what i have to do before i take out my
current motherboard and a p4 and replacing with an ABIT
motherboard and an athlon processor? or the process of
doing this?

I would like to create a shortcut key to the Windows
Character Map (%SystemRoot%\System32\charmap.exe).
However, the existing shortcut (C:\Documents and
Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Accessories\System

I do not find the usual Windows calculator in the
Accessories folder of my XP Home Edition.  I have done a
file search of all folders of the hard drive
for "calculator" and come up empty handed.  Any ideas?

I have a lot of JPG files on my computer at work.  Some are work related and therefore not appropriate to use at a "desktop image

I have a picture as a background in a folder and I want
to get rid of ir cuz its hard to see the names of the
pictures in the folder, is there anyway to either get a
different picture or remove the one thats there now?

I'm runnung XP with Cox cable with Zone Alarm. Been using it the last couple

This is a trivial customization, but is it possible to automatically
expand 'MyComputer' in the folders pane in Windows Explorer.
Like it does by default in W98. Also, I *don't* want MyDocuments

When you right click on Start and explore, the default
file you are sent to is the Start Menu folder. Is there a
way to change this to any folder you would like it to go

I've upgraded several of our family PC's from 95, 98, Me.  
I finally decided to update two of my Win 2000 machines.  
I was disappointed to note that the intall exe file didn't
offer an "upgrade" option.  So I forged ahead anyway.
