I had Windows XP Home Editon on my machine, and I repartinoned my Hard
drive (so that would delete every thing on my Hard Drive I thought)
and then I installed Windows XP Professional on my machine. After
installation every time I boot the system it gives my two choices:

       I currently have two monitors connected to my
ASUS FX5600 256MB graphics card. The card has two monitor
ports on the back of it and dual view allows me to extend
my desktop onto the second monitor and i can move windows

Does anyone have any ideas on how to disbale the utility manager in XP. I have tried deleting it and it comes back, I have even renamed it and it comes back. Even if I can't get rid of the utility manager, I would at least like to delete the shortcut. Any suggestions please

I recently had a problem with my machine and on startup
the system initiated a scandisk. After completion I was
able to log in and work without problems. There is only
one issue, my machine reverted back to a mm/DD/yyyy for

Just curious, but is it possible to put in a command line
or to get a progam that will start your computer up for
you on a scheduled task? I know you can for shutdown.

I open the windows/programs in the order I want them to be
on my taskbar, ie Outlook, then Excell, then IE, then
Explorer, etc. When I open a second excell window, my
first one jumps from where it is - second from the left -

I am curious on how to make my computer, with WIN XP,
boot up without going to the welcome screen or logon

How do I go about removing programs that automatically
run when i boot up...I have way to much running and
slowing things down... quick time, winamp etc  are all

A month ago, I tried a few of those tiny freeware bits
and pieces programs, and one let me resize my thumbnails
(I really liked them bigger).  I reformatted, and don't
remember what the program was or how to do it myself.
