We need to run a program that requires a largest memory
block of 600k or greater.  After attempting many times to
configure this, I am at my wits end... please help...

I have WinXP SP1 with all updates.
Recently, I have been reading this newsgroup and have been following various
instructions just to see how they work. I'm not making any changes because
my computer always seems to be running smooth. But I have noticed that many

In Control Panel I am able to set up and adjust User
accounts fine, though from the login or welcome screen,
if any profile other than mine is clicked on a message

I have been trying to get the customize notifications
part of the taskbar to work correctly, with no success.
When I bring up that box each icon has a 3 choices -
hide/inactive, always hide, always show. When I change

Quick question. I seem to have lost my ability to type in
Cyrillic in the Internet (e.g. search engines). All
characters appear as question marks, periods, etc. Any
idea what happend here? (I'm running CSK 5.0 on XP Home

When I click on the drive, the little picture icon appears
in the bottom right of the Explorer window as if it is a
folder of type "Pictures".
I even have the option to view the disk contents

How can I permanently make it so that when I open up my files, my folders automatically appear on the left panel?  I tried setting it via the usual Folder Options but it never persists through the next opening of Explorer (File Manager).

Ok I now understand that the quick launch for users is
under their microsoft folder in there home path and not
in there folder on the harddrive under documents and

It seems as though something changed so that minimized
programs no longer show up in the task bar at the bottom
of my screen.  I have no clue how this happened and I can
not find where to turn this back on.  Any ideas?

hi,i changed my screen saver to my picture slide show,it
works nicely in the preveiw but the screen saver never
comes on when idle? it will not come on either if i just
put a regular screen saver.

I want to create a dual boot system with Windows ME and
and XP because I have inherited a scanner that does not
work under XP.  Most Microsoft advice recommends
formatting with FAT32 so that each OS can see the

the window is always about 1/4 of the size of the window
I'm using.  I've tried resizing the window but it still
comes through smaller.
