by default i guess windows xp looks at 3 or so default
locations for images to display as backgrounds. 1.
C:\WINDOWS\Web  2. C:\WINDOWS  3. my pictures folder.

I have been trying to find information on how to make
Explorer open to a specified folder.  I do not want to
change just a shortcut -- I know how to do that.  I want

Help!  My windows are suddenly too large for my screen

Hi, I have a bit of a map and a small caption of the CBC
stuck on my desktop background and cannot clear it off,
even though I have changed the background several times
already. I have looked up map in files and had no luck.

I had to get a new computer and it has XP Home installed with a CD Burner.
I had an extra CD Rom I put in and an extra 40 GB Hard Drive I also put in

field called 'Shortcut key' which allows the addition of a letter plus a

I've got a problem and it's driving me crazy. Somehow the
default font for text in web pages (under the headers)
and emails and what not has gone italic. For example,

An unfortunate crack on my laptop LCD screen renders the
left 2 inches, and bottom 2 inches of the screen  
unreadable. Can I decrease the size of the Windows
display/Desktop so it is all readable on the good part of
