StyleXP messes up my desktop icons!29 Jul 2004 01:28 GMT3
Strange, but true. When I change visual styles (not themes) with
StyleXP, it changes some of my icons, such as the recycle bin.
Something tells me it shouldn`t do that with visual styles. But
anyway, I don`t want to know how to get my icons back, I can figure

a first post from a newbie, I want to log into winxp as "Administrator",  
but I'm unable to work out how to do this. In win2k this was no problem  
but in winxp it seems to be a big problem, any help would be much  
appreciated.

My icon names on my desktop are white and when I use a
light color backgroud picture on my desktop it is hard to

the administrator, will it carry on down to her childrens accounts for
use? Or can a shortcut be placed to it?

Hey everybody.  I have a new font that I want to install.  
I used the help function in Windows, which told me to open
the "Fonts" folder from the control panel, then

I have a Maxtor OneTouch 300GB USB2.0/IEEE1394 HD. Every
time I plug it in, Windows wants to scan the whole disk
for files to do its AutoRun/AutoPlay thing. Any way I can

could recognize the partion (NTFS format) which is on the

How do I configure my computer so yahoo is my default
email?  i want to email a word doc and it goes to the

My computer has been working without problems for some
time. I recently installed BT Broadband Basic and since
then when I select a wallpaper it disappears about 30
seconds after logging on leaving a black background.

In user accounts, I can select a picture, but no picture
really appears. It acts like it is changing, but no

How can you configure pulldown menus, like the ones in IE to show ALL menu
selections? I don't like just getting the items I use the most to show up
and then have to click on the little chevron or double-v's at the bottom to
get more choices to show up. There HAS to be a fix for it.

I wish to click on start -> all programs -> and see all
of the programs I have installed on my computers appear.  
Is there anyway in the world to do this?  Your help is
much appreciated.
