I recently bought a notebook at Best Buy with winXP home
included. I've run XPhome at work and my home desktop for
2yrs now. So when I got my notebook I attempted to open the
device manager to disable the ever annoying Autostart on the cd

I cannot seem to enable active desktop on my windows xp
home edition.  I have IE 6.02.  Have only come to many
dead ends with the help files.  It does not seem to be in
my directory at all.  How am I to download the desktop

I like the little green icon that the taskmanager makes to see CPU load,
but I don't want to see it on the taskbar, just the systray, and I'd like
to start it at log on.  
Any ideas besides just putting a shortcut in the startup folder?
