I seem to have a problem with any wallpaper I try choosing; it won't display. It shows fine in the 'Display Properties' window, but it does not display on the actual desktop. Instead, it shows my background colour. I don't even have Active Desktop activated, I think... can ...

I have my XP Professional set up so that in Windows Explorer everything opens in folder view. But when I put a shortcut to a file on the desktop and click on it, it doesn't open in folder view. Is there a way to correct this?
