On my start menu, XP Home, the "Run ..." option has disappeared.  I'd
sure like it back.  Suggestions?

When using Windows explorer, it suddenly lost the command bar, tool;bar and
status bar.  Now all I have is the blue bar at the top, the small pane on
left showing folders, and the large pane for files.  I can't figure out how
to get the toolbars etc. back.

I'm working off of a laptop and everytime I open a window in windows
explorer, the page I tried enlarging the font, but it didn't work.  Does
anyone know how to fix this?

When I use NotePad, I usually need to open *.DAT files.  So each time, I need
to change the file type from *.TXT to all files (*.*).  Is it possible to
change default file type to *.DAT;*.TXT when I open a file in Notepad?

I have a search toolbar that shows itself in my internet
explorer window whenever I open it. It's annoying, just
adds more clutter and I want it outta there. When I right

I have a scenario where I have several users using the same system.  Is it
possible for the users to have a common set of Favorites in their IE, plus,
whatever other ones they decide to add themselves?

I've got a mess on my hands.  I was trying to uninstall an HP printer and I
must have answered something wrong because when I noticed that all of my
shortcuts on my desktop were gone I decided to reboot.  When I did, a
message appeared to press R to recover or anything else to ... I ...

The sound in the scheme worked then one day stopped. Then I got a virus and
when I put evertything back on the hard drive,  which was cleaned and
scanned, I loaded XP sp1 then sp2, the sound worked again.  Today it
doesn't???

I changed from Windows 2000 to Windows XP recently.
With Windows 2000 I am used to locate my taskbar on
the left side of my desktop, where the Start Button
was at the top and the notification area was right

My windows ME self-destructed and would not boot.  My data appears to be
intact on that HD.  I installed a new HD (C:) and left the old Drive (D:)
installed.  I installed Windows XP on C: and would like to transfer my files
from D:.  The Transfer Wizard does not offer options to ...

Whenever I first used Windows XP, under "My Computer" had a "cartoony" look
to it. It showed the shared folders at the top, hard drive in the middle, and
other drives on the bottom. It was all labled. Now it views them as icons. I
tried to find the original look under views, but ...

In spite of using the taskbar property option to group taskbar items it will
not work on 3 different systems I have.  All 3 are using XPPro with the SP2
updates.  I seem to recall that a few years ago one of these systems was
grouping and I then didn't like it and turned it off.. ...
