Just got my new Dell 510 laptop - it came with the Nortons internet security suit CD (90 days expiry). However, the Nortons seemed resource hungry and my system was slow. (Then again I was more used to my P4 (1g ram) desktop.

Can anyone tell me why it is so confusing to figure out how to install a third party theme to XP? Where is the A Plus theme like Windows 98? It can't be that hard? I have Microsoft Plus for XP, but find no help in the program.

Under the Explore All Users list, I have Documents and Settings files with subfiles(All Users, Mike, Carol). I also have Documents & Settings.000 with subfiles (Administrator, All Users, Default Users, Owner). Seems like too many unneccesary duplicate files. Can I correct this ...

My kid somehow moved the taskbar from the bottom of the screen to the right side. Can someone tell me how to move it back? I know in pre-WinXP versions, you could just drag and drop it. This does not seem to be the case on my system.

I want a desktop that is only for children's homework with no access to other programs and no access to the internet/music. I need to either lockout the Start Button or learn how to customize what programs are on the All Programs list in the Start Button. Thanks.
