I just bought a desktop w/XP Home. I upgraded to XP Pro to join it to a domain. I also installed Office 97. Now when I try to save something (anything) it tells me "Access Denied".

recently XP Home has been logging me off completely when I have reached around 15-12 mins inactivity....power settings are set to always on, no screensaver, etc.....like i said i have changed no settings - this just started happening a few days ago?

I'm trying to set the defaults for Explorer to always start showing a two-pane view so that the LHS is Folders and RHS is a default folder. I've got the default to always go the the place, but it always starts in a single pane. Not a big deal, but I hadn't seen anything in docs ...

Used to be when I clicked on a Program it automatically opened that program. Now, when I click on certain programs my computer open the "Search" field. How do I go back to automatically opening a program when I click on it instead of getting the Search field? Thanks.
