In a dual monitor arrangement, I need to have Outlook98 open on the 2nd
monitor instead of the primary monitor.  This is no problem with most
applications, but Outlook ignores the normal method of forcing the opening on
the 2nd monitor.  Does anyone know how to accomplish this, ...

I need a little help with my seach companion ...... It's turned off
under my log on name and I can't seem to get it turned back on. Under
'Guest' log on it works fine. It seems to be in 'Classic' mode when I

I just bought a desktop w/XP Home. I upgraded to XP Pro to join it to a
domain.
I also installed Office 97.
Now when I try to save something (anything) it tells me "Access Denied".

recently XP Home has been logging me off completely when I have reached
around 15-12 mins inactivity....power settings are set to always on, no
screensaver, etc.....like i said i have changed no settings  - this just
started happening a few days ago?

i added some web content to my WinXP desktop (via right-click on desktop >
Properties > Desktop Tab > Customize Desktop > Web Tab > New Button). for
example, i added a msn.com window. when i click any link, it pops up in a new
IE window. but i want to browse it INSIDE my desktop ...

I'm trying to set the defaults for Explorer to always start showing a
two-pane view so that the LHS is Folders and RHS is a default folder.  I've
got the default to always go the the place, but it always starts in a single
pane.  Not a big deal, but I hadn't seen anything in docs ...

When try to open the customize search  box from the search bar it flashes on
for just a split second.

Is there a way, either through a registry hack, or Group Policy, to prevent
users from moving icons around on the desktop.?

I use the sysprep procedure to install Windows XP Professional.
I would know what is the parameters in the file sysprep.inf to specify for
setting the speed network card automatically ?

Is there a way to get rid of those ennoying text balloons announcing that
you have an internet connexion, or that you're up to shutdown the computer

Used to be when I clicked on a Program it automatically opened that program.
Now, when I click on certain programs my computer open the "Search" field.
How do I go back to automatically opening a program when I click on it
instead of getting the Search field? Thanks.

My taskbar will not resize. It is not locked. I can move it to the side and
back but it will not reduce to under an inch wide. Have switched to classic
view & back and have changed resolution all to no avail. I can make it bigger
but not smaller. I run adaware and spybot ...
