I don't know what I did but I've lost all visual styles except for
WindowsXP and Windows Classic.  In Appearance, in the "windows and
buttons" drop down list, those are the only choices.  My *.msstyles files
are still under windows\resources\themes where they've been all along.

My new server-sized case has a great front door, lockable, that I intend to
keep shut unless I have to access the DVD and CD drives.  Closed, it cuts
down on noise, protects the DVD/CD drives from unnecesary dust, and keeps
people other than me from opening it (heh).  It is the ...

GUI Extreme Customization - How To?27 Jan 2005 23:01 GMT3
Hello.  Using the Display Properties applet and the Appearance tab, there is
a limited amount of color and font customization that can be performed.
Is there a great program out there that allows for an even greater level of
customization of the GUI??
Windows Explorer 27 Jan 2005 21:08 GMT6
In earlier versions of Windows Explorer, it automatically totaled the number of KB when selecting
multiple files.  I copy files to CDs and floppies for back up and it is much easier for the PC to
make that total instead of me using a pocket calculator.  I know the PC will stop ...

shadow under window?26 Jan 2005 22:30 GMT4
I've seen screenshots of people's desktop where they have shadows under
windows (not menus), which really helps set the windows off from the
background (and looks nice too).  Is this done with an external program
or is XP capable of this?
