Anyone out there know if the proxy settings in IE can be controled via the command line? I want to write a quick batch file that I can click on that will enable the proxy settings when I'm at work and disable them when I'm at home.

I have two discs in my PC, one of which is partitioned into two. I was wanting to change the size of the partition so that my C:\ drive was smaller and the D:\ drive was bigger. Previously I had done this using partition magic 8.

I have just reinstalled XP Home and now have a desktop icon problem. The My Computer & My Documents icons have disappeared when I use the XP start menu and are only visible when I use the Classic start menu, which I do not want to use. Any advice?

I need to clean my hard drive out. I have forgotten how to do it. Also the last time I did this, I was forced to do complete clean of hard drive and files did not come up on cd.

Accidentally deleted the "ntldr" file from the root C:\ drive on my WinXP Pro and killed the drive. It no longer is detected by the POST detecting IDE devices or a bootable WinXP install CD!
