Is it possible to customize Windows Explorer to get a list of files and folders with details in the right pane and a list of folders in the same directory in the left pane (where file and folder tasks, other places, and details are listed)?

I have a group of phrases that I use over and pver again for my job. Is there a way in XP to configure certain key combos (i.e. ALT-Y) that will simply enter the text string wherever I am working - Outlook, Word, etc? Thanks for any thoughts.
