I just re-installed XP Pro & I'm not able to hide my systray icons that are
inactive or that I want to hide always.  When I go into the "Taskbar and
Start Menu Properties" I check the box for "Hide inactive icons" & click
Apply then click OK.  The icons wont hide.  The << icon ...

I have a friends laptop that I'm cleaning off the spyware from.  Hoping to
speed the thing up.  The laptop is an HP Pavilion ZE4500 that has an Athlon
XP2500 in it.  I know that desktops running the Athlon 2500 run at

I find help and support center is to easily broken. I did the right click and
install of pchelp.inf but it couldn't fix it. Can I make H&S run like a
standard help without all the buttons and whistles?

when changing icons in windows XP under the customise tab in properties there
is no option to 'apply to all subfolders' as there is for  the template for
the folder.
