Using WinHome-XP-sp2.
When I double right click certain folders to open I go to Search.  If I
single right click and then click Open I go to the opened folder. I have NOT
installed any new programs since this started.

When I set the mice for left-handed use, after restart the computer changes
the setup back to right-handed. How can I make this change permanent? using
XPP on a laptop.

I had a list of commands to customize setting in Windows taped up beside my
computer.  While it was stolen and there is one I can not remember.  You
enter these commands in START/Run box.  some commands are msconfig, dxdiag,
regedit....there is more and there is one I'm thinking ...

On Windows XP:
When I open a program, it shows on the bottom taskbar as two instances.
However, the program is not running twice but it just appears on the task
bar twice.

When you right click on an image and click save as you get a pop window to
slect where to save. This window has icons on the left  for  recent docs,
desltop, my docs, my computer, and net nabe on mine. iIs it possible to
modify and add you own icons for locations other than these ...
