I have a lot of folders in 'My Documents'. In order to view these folders when I open My Documents I have to use the View menu then Explorer Bar then Folders. Is there a way to default to this setting when I open My Documents?

I need to find out how to save DEFAULT basic settings & windows personalities like desktop styles, color, IE settings, etc. so when we ghost PCs, we don't have to keep redoing the same over & over. Thank you.

I recently purchased a Seagate 3.5" external Hard drive and am trying to install it onto my pc with Os windows xp. It is a usb connection and should recognize it straight away but it doesn't. I checked the instructions and it says i need windows xp service pack 1

When I first started using windows xp, I was able to create different backgrounds for multiple users in my household. Now when I change my background it changes 3 out of 4 users background to the same one as mine. I don't know if this is a glitch in xp that can be fixed, but ...

When I boot up with high quality(32bit) color display, my screen goes black, and my colors are reset to low quality(8bit). Is there something that I forgot to do when installing, or can it be taken care of without reinstallation?

ok, i know this really isn't important of life threatening. but how do i make the background color that is just behind the names of the icons on my desktop go away? lets say i have a picture of a flower for a desktop

I meant to set google shortcut icon but accidently set it as desktop item.I now have a google uk image over my deskyop background squeezing all my shortcut icons into a narrow strip left hand side of my screen,could anyone advise me how to get rid.

Windows XP is really starting to annoy me. Whenever I go into a folder with any kind of movie file (.avi, .mpg, etc...), explorer.exe goes bananas trying to analyze the files contained in the folder. This is most annoying because I am usually trying to rename files or move them ...
