In the XP notification area (system tray) I can see the time and full

I want to set all the folders to Detail view. When I set a folder to detail

In Control Panel>Sounds & Audio Devices>Sounds there's a long list of

Ok I've been googling for this answer for a couple of hours and haven't
found anything of any help. So here it goes;
The autohide of the taskbar on my PC scrolls smoothly when it hides, but

BlankI have some folders set to Read Only and I want to remove this attribute.
However, after unchecking the ReadOnly box and selecting "This folder and all Subfolders", the Read Only setting comes back again immediately.
Why is it so?
