i can't find the 'application data' folder for the quicklaunch bar stuff

How do I keep programs from being loaded on my desktop?  ARG!!!!

this sounds like something reasonably simple to do, but i haven't
figured out how: on a PC with many local user accounts (workgrp, no
domain), how do you set individual users to have different default
browsers?

I want to be able to control access to certain applications based on the
time-of-day,  ie.
- allow any user access from 4-5pm daily
- allow any user access from 4-5pm on weekdays

Hi, I'm running XP Home and have a limited account set up for the kids.  IE
will not access the internet from the limited account side.  I can access it
through the "run as" command under "admimistrator", but it accesses all my
favorites and settings. Can this be set up to run IE ...

I like the current theme I'm using on my XP machine. I'd like to [1] make my
current theme the default theme on my machine, and [2] change the existing
user themes to mine.

I have been getting a few too many:explorer.exe shell stops with out the
shell restarting and facing a desktop with no Start Menu and no icons.  You
can recover to operate by Ctrl+Alt+Deleting and from task manager's

Pioneer,Sony etc rather than drive d:e: etcetera.

How do you get rid of the little icon on IE that shows that you are
seeking a site. The little one at the upper right hand corner of the

I'm doing some screen capturing and would like to hide the title bar of
some app windows.  I thought it would be simple enough to find a
shareware app to do this, but none that I've found hides just the title
bar.  Most are hiding the whole window or making the entire window

think there is a short cut for putting icons like my documents, my computer

I have many folders containing thousands of images that I have copied to
several DVDs. Now I want to clear the archive bit on all the files so
that I can start making incremental backups of just the files that change.
Anyone know of a way to do this or a freeby utility?
