Before I had xp installed, my windows explorer sorted numerical file names by
the value of each digit. Example, 132, 146, 256, 2665, 423, etc. Now, with
xp, that order is by the total value of the number or by the number of
digits. For example, that same list would be 132, 146, ...

I use PCDJ to play mp3s on my laptop, & I would like to setup a user profile

I have four user accounts, including Administrator.  When installing new
software it becomes available on all accounts and the 'make private' tab is
unavailable.  How can I make new software available only to the administrator
account?

I got winxp (oem). At the installation I can chose the language (German,
English, French, ...). I've chosen German. But now some dialogs, menues and
folder (for ex. c.\program files, or c:\documents and settings) still are in
English.

I do not want to use the various standard folders, such as 'My Music', 'My

Developing code it happens to me quite often that some process is
"running wild"and starts consuming so much CPU that even hitting
Ctrl-Alt-Del and selecting TaskManager is unable to bring up the task
manager (and hence one then can't kill that process or give it lower

When I double click on a folder, a search window appears  instead of  
opening/exploring the folder. When I right click on the folder I notice
