In a system that came with XP preinstalled and only a recovery disk, how
do I add fax capability. Can I use any XP install disk or download the
required files from the web?

I've downloaded and installed the Windows Powertoy for "Virtual Desktop."
The problem is now what? I have no icon or menu to set it up. From searching
through the user group group it seems that I should have Virtual Desktop
Manager and yet even with a search, I can't find it. Any ...

I have customized my HP notebook (model ze4933us), running Windows XP SP2,
so that "My Documents" does not appear on the folder list in Windows
Explorer or My Computer. I am the only person who will ever use this
computer, so my one user-administrator account is all I need.

Since installing Office 2003, or it might be from an auto upgrade of XP, I
find myself faced with a selection screen instead of a screen saver when

How do I modify XP so that all new user accounts display the same windows
background as a default?

I have what I think is a unique problem lately.
My MP3 files play at very low volume and when I adjust my
volume controls up to listen to my music the system wave
files nearly knock me out when they kick in.
