OMG! It has 1001 lives!!! 1. The LAN on my PC cannot be disabled to remove the icon because it causes my dialup ISP to fail with an ntdll.dll error on the second disconnection. So I need to find a way to disable/hide the icon while leaving the LAN intact.

When I try to open it through the start menu, it tells me: "This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Create an association in the Folder Options control panel." The last part is a little ironic, since I can't open the control panel :\
