How do I change the default program file directory so that programs that I
install will go to the D drive instead of the C?

When I press Ctrl+Alt+Delete Task manager appears in the windows menu bar but
the actual window for the task manager open out of site on the right hand
side of the screen. Any tips please?

I would like to know the registry value to disable the right clokc on the

My windows is getting more and more bloated. Can I delete
the sp uninstall directory after I run with SP2 for awhile
and am satisfied with it? Any other stuff it squirreled away
that won't be needed if I don't want to uninstall SP2?

I have a user at our organization who is having problems setting his screen
resolution to 800 x 600. Each time this user re-starts his machine, XP
adjusts the resolution back to 1024 x 768. I have remoted in to this machine
and under the administrator account set the resolution ...

I downloaded and demo'd an icon editing app which was of pretty poo
quality. When I uninstalled it, it screwed up all the icons on m
system (XP pro).  In windows explorer I don't see the icon's imag

In Win98 I could have a desktop pattern plus a centered
picture. In XP it looks like I can have either a pattern or a
picture, but not both. Even when I selected Windows
Classic in XP it will only do either/or.

Two questions if you don't mind:
xp has suddenly dropped the xp look option leaving me with only the one for
classic. This isn't bad but I would like the choice to go back to the xp look
every  now and then. Is there any way I can get the xp option back?

Hope someone can help me. I recently bought a 160G HD and partition into
100G / 60G. I use it as an external drive, and when i use it on my XP Pro
laptop with SP2, i can only see the 100G portion. I tried to use it on a Win
2000 and XP Pro SP2 desktop, they both can see the 2 ...

My son was creating a partition using PM 8 and the system crashed.
Now most of the drive is listed as "unallocated".  What might be
recommended for trying to see any files?

I would like to add my shredder to right click options when right clicking a
file so I may shred it right there. It would be easier than opening the
shredder and dragging the file to it for shredding. Is it possible to do this
or would it have to be part of the shredding program?
