Sony branded Windows XP SP1, Sony Vaio 3.2 GHZ.
I can still view zip files/folders, but I had the option in the
folder view left pane of "Compress this folder". This option has
disappeared. How can I get it back.

We are using the WIA Twain Scanner Module to acquire images.  It gives
a number of default page choices but NOT a custom size choice.
Is this a function of windows or the drivers? Is there a work around
to add a custom page size to the WIA module

Ok, this is but a minor annoyance, but here goes:
When I open Explorer, the directory tree is shown with the Documents
folder expanded and everything else collapsed. Example:

My modem is a HSP56 MR.
Runs on 95, 2000, and includes drivers for XP.
However, when I try to install, I get a message stating that it does not
have Microsoft's signature.  It asks if I want to continue anyway but warns

The right click dialog menu on a file folder shows search in bold letters at
the top.  When I double click to open the folder, it goes to Search, instead
of opening the folder. I have tried all the options in folder options but I

when you receive an IM or a new program opens in the background, it flashes
orange on the menu bar at the bottom.  is there anyway to change that orange
