boxes from showing "help phrases?" When you go to google and type b for
Barbie World, boobs pops up as a previously typed word. How do I stop this?

I have a problem with windows xp pro. I would like to shutdown the
computer at a specific time (this works) but when no one is logged on
this wouldn't work because ether the screensaver is active or the
computer is standby. how can i stop those 2 and shutdown the computer.

I have bought computer in Japan. It bundle with Japanese winxp pro.
Someone know how can change to english interface?

when I open up windows explorer I always have to go to the view menu to
show the status bar.  Any way I can have it just always show up?

Mr. Honeycutt suggests tweaking the registry to get your Start|Programs list
to be sorted in alphabetical order. No, no! Just right click on any progam in
the list and click on "Sort by Name". A bit easier and safer. Maybe this
option wasn't available before Service Pack 2 ?????? ...

I'm using XP Home SP 1.  Suddenly, my cursor is jumpy.  It's like a

Just got a new Notebook and it does not come with a floppy drive.
Since the BIOS allows booting from an USB device, how can I format a
CF card and boot off of it like a floppy?

My display on the moniter is much smaller than usual and doesnt fill of the

Sounds selected for various system events do not play when those events
occur. However, when I'm in Sound and Audio Devices and I click the sound
selected for an event, the sound does play. Music cd's and music files on
the system play normally. Device Manager shows no problems. ...

I'm using XP Home SP1.  I'd like to be able to right-click and choose
a new notepad file.  I'd like to delete the Right Click > New
subfolder.  
What's the regedit for that?  Thanks.  

Registry Defragers do they do anything ???
Not sure how big a registtery file is or how much its used in a usual
session of XP.
So would their be any benifit in defragging it ??

How do you change the welcome screen? and if you don't like it how do you
change it back to default?

My USB mouse and printer bring the computer out of standby. Where do I find
the setting(s) to disable this? I've checked in my BIOS settings, XP Power
Management, My Computer Properties, Device Manager: Mouse. I know I've seen
it in my travels but I can't remember.
