I have installed .Net and it altered the way I logon.
Before, I didn't have to enter passwords or go thru a "click the user"
screen.  The computer just booted all the way to my desktop without any
intermediate steps.

The day I uninstalled IconPackager, this probelm comes out.. because one
by one, my icons are going corrupted, they're going blank. I'll attach
and image on this post so you'll see what my icons look like.
First, the ".txt" and ".jpg" files are the only blank icons, and now,

If you rename the file "Control.exe" to (for
instance) "xControl.exe" that would disable Control Panel, is that
correct? Would it affect any other part of the system? and/or what
system 'problems' would it cause, if any?

I there a way to force a window to open the same each time it is accesed?  I
am refereing to the windows update IE window.  I have the folder options set
to remember each folders view settings.  When I open an IE window from the

I have a bunch of transcriptionists who use a custom third-party application
to listen to .WAV voice files.  The thing I am trying to avoid doing is
logging onto all their workstations AS EACH user (since they float around and

recently, my friends came over for a visit and used my computer. he signed in
on msn messenger and had unread mails. he did not read them.
my problem is...when ever i start my computer now, at the login page i now
see my user name with 122 unread mails. obviously from my friend's ...

on the task bar there are many little icons that I am not very interested in.
These I have hidden. No big problem
What I would realy find useful is to have the little icons of  programs I
actualy use  loaded onto the task bar when  I start the computer.

I want to show current date, time and computer name to the user in the
message, which cannot be done if I use text file for it. Anyhow

Can someone help me how to show a message to user just AFTER he/sh
