This is a different computer to the thread "ntldr is missing" above.
Before I upgraded from W98SE to XP I had IE6 automatically firing up
the dial up network connection.
I've had to re-install and all I have is two independent connections.

I've started using some large map files. Just noticed that the status
line in a My Computer window displays 999 MB for anything over that
size (e.g 2.3 GB). Is that a known bug of Win XP? Any work around
please?

I have Pentium 4 2.4GHz, 256 MB RAM, and Windows XP SP2 with new updates.
5 days ago I formated hdd because mu computer occasionally freezed, even
then I had Win XP SP2 + updates, and now I do all that from the beginning
and it 's the same problem (FREEZE) and I must restart again.

I know how to change the background of the Welcome Screen, but is there any
program that lets you run 'Widgets' on it? Like weather and such? Or is there

I have two folders, one on the my computer (NT) and one on my laptop (XP
Pro).  Can I make it so every time I log on the relevant files are copied
onto each machine?  So for eaxmple, if something is added to the desktop,
when I connect to the network the file automatically copies ...

I moved from w2k pro to wXP pro and now the taskbar won't extend across both
monitors like it did b4. Whats up with this OS? One step forward and two
