I want to have more that 2 (I need 10) downloads at the same time in my
explorer, I now that is only a register key but I don't remember what.

I thought that the HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT part of the registry was the only
place that file associations were stored in in windows xp. The I found
some crazy stuff going on in my system ... namely that files werent
acting like they should be according to their entry in HKCR. After some

For some unknown reason, my Favorites Folder's Icon, (i.e. C:\D&S\User's
Name\Favorites), has reverted from its' accustomed "Yellow Star" to a

I've got a user that travels with his xp pro laptop. He works in 2
different offices, each with a different windows domain. One domain is

I'm using WinXP Home SP2.   A lot of my desktop shortcuts aren't represented
in C:\Documents and Settings\username\desktop.  Also, I set up a new user for
my grandson expecting to see a clean desktop with only a recycle bin.  I got
