I wanted to customize my sounds and found two things:
1) Sounds in control panel will only list Wave files ( .wav )
not mp3 or midi.

This may have been asked before but, is it possible to change the text colour
of the desktop icons titles ? I have an image I would like yo use as my
wallpaper but the top of the picture is white - so the icon titles disappear
!!!

Does anybody knows software/trick/way to make windows inteface
monochromatic? Maybe someone has got ready colours-set I could easily
import into my XP settings?

My installation of XP Pro has file drag & drop default action as Copy.  How
can I change this to Move which is default for my XP Home installation on
another computer?

I am trying to install a Quicken program, but I am not being permitted to do
so. The message I receive tells me I need 3 MB of VM for the installation of
the program. Does anyone know how I can direct 3 MB of VM in order to
accomplish the installation?

I use Notepad a lot for transferring text to word processing documents
and other thing. Thus, after my recent upgrade to XP from Millennium
Edition, I was annoyed to see that the text font that displays in
Notepad is HORRIBLE!!! The problem is that capital letters aren't tall

I would like to make my start button a couple of pixels wider, so it looks

I have an HP laptop, and when I start XP (Pro) after displaying my bootskin,
but before the Welcome screen, I always see the same, ugly image on the

I forget how to get rid of the colored boxes under the shortcuts on my
desktop.  At this moment I have them blue but I want to make the color non
existant so that's it just shows the text and no color.

I'm trying to help with a question posed that someone wants to shave a
second or two off the clear MRU list at Rt. Click Start>Properties>Start
Menu>Advanced Clear List.  They say it takes 9 seconds; they want two  Is
there a reg value to change that would do this or another way?
