I know, I am weird. I want newly opened applications to steal focus. I know I am weird, because tons of articles on the web is about how *not* to steal focus, no articles on the opposite. It seems to be a cardinal sin to steal focus. Worse than gluttony, equal to pride.

When I try to change my background it won't. I can onlny change it to a solid color. If I go on other user accounts on my computer i can change it on theirs. What is wrong with this and how do i change it? Thanks,

I'm using XP Pro SP2. Is there a way that I can change the column widths in the right hand pane of Explorer (so that I can see all of the filename) for all folders EXCLUDING the "My Pictures" folder? I use the "detail" view

Today, I downloaded and ran the WMF Hotfix and did the Un-register the "shimgvw.dll" file. Ever since I have done this, I can no longer open jpegs, gifs, pictures period...with my Windows Picture and Fax Viewer. It no longer works.

nXP SP. I am registered in multiple antivirus, antispyware and antimalware forums. In these forums they recommend that to go into safe mode that you reboot and then start continuously tapping on the PF8 key.

1) the Language toolbar disappears when I set focus to a Terminal Services window - and reappears but all the way on the right next to the clock/systray when I leave that window rather than where I last left it. locking/unlocking taskbar doesn't help. anything I can do?

Can WindowsXP be trained to open all Windows Explorer views with the Folders option already selected? I've gotten rid of Folder Tasks by selecting "Use Windows Classic Folders," but the views still do not contain the folder tree on the left and the selected folder's contents
