ANY one know how to lose the logon screen for XP.iwhen it boots it ask for name and password.for exp mine says owner and then it asks for password.i just hit ok and it boots into windows? how do i get rid of it?

I need to run a service that uses some remote mapped drive. The service does not work with the path (example) G:\FrameworkFiles but for some reason it works when i give the path like \\wahtever.ch\blabla\FrameworkFiles. G:\ is of course mapping the path

When I open Windows Exolorer it defaults to My Documents. How can I get it to default to another folder (like the C drive) and maintain the folders and detail view? I've tried setting "apply to all folders" but it just defaults back to "My Documents."

According to MS I should be able to set a different wallpaper background for each of the four desktops MSVD provides. I change the wallpaper for desktop2 and when I go back from desktop1 to desktop2 it is using the wallpaper for desktop1 again. Anyone know why? Could it

When I tried changing the icon of 'File Folder' in 'Folder Options' --> 'File Types' , by mistake I made 'find' in 'Action' list ('Advanced' button) the default. Now I am unable to remove it. So whenever I try double clicking a folder, a search window appears.

I manage the computers in my office, and their are 5 'public' computer. I would like to have all the desktops have the same appearance. What is the file name that stores the desktop settings, and if I copy that file from one to the other, will that alone do what I want to do.

I have Windows XP sp2. I keep my desktop icons completely hidden on the desktop and typically use them through a toolbar I normally have in my taskbar and keep it small so that it opens like another start menu (not quicklaunch) .
