on another machine that i have, when i double-click my dvd/cd drive, it
opens it up into explorer i.e. like right-click -> open or explore but on
another machine double-clicking behaviour seems to depend on what's inside

I have a system with XP HOME SP2 which tells me that I can not change the
firewall settings due to Group Policy Settings....   Now from what I know
about XP HOME there isn't a Group Policy feature.  All items on the firewall

XP Home Edition. Earlier disabled such function by amending the registry :

Really stupid me decided to change the display settings in the control
panel under the advanced tab.  My screen isn't a very good one - it was
only on 600x400 pixels and I tried to change it to 800x600 or something

When I upgraded from WIn 98 to Win XP, I started to set up user
accounts (as per control panel), got stuck, stopped, cmpt worked, so I
