We have two XP computers here. On one, the contents of the My Network Places folder remains constant and on the other it keeps losing the ones that haven't been used in a while. We really want the constant behavior. What's the trick to it?

Have you actually given the acid test to that proposed solution by restoring several image backups of Vista Ultimate from the DVD or External Hard Drive -- with all the new Anti-Pirate protection on Vista -- to your computer and done it successfully, several times?

When I open IE7 the new window opens with the left bottom of the frame in the left bottom of the screen and I always want to move it more towards the middle. Can I change the Registry to force new windows to open it in the middle of the screen instead?

I am running Windows XP Home. I've had to do a system recovery using the disk that came with the computer. Before this happened I could right click on the desk top and choose to hide the desktop icons. Since the recovery I don't see this option when I right click the disk
