Adding to or modifying desktop new list01 Aug 2008 00:57 GMT6
Right clicking on the Win XP desktop brings up a context sensitive menu that
allows you to created new items on the desktop (i.e., folders, Word

I would like to regularly run defragmentation during night hours.
However, when I program it as a scheduled task, the UI window opens
but - since I don't click "Analyze" nor "Defragment" it does nothing and
sits there waiting for my input. What option or flag do I have to pass

Using WinXP Home SP2 with Office 2007.
When I r-click on my desktop and choose New | New Microsoft Office Word
Document, it creates a .docx document by default. I would rather it
create a 97-2003 compatible .doc instead.

Safely Remove Hardware Icon23 Jul 2008 20:07 GMT7
Hello group, thanks for reading. Is there a way to remove the above icon
from the Notification Area? I like to keep my desktop tidy, and I'd rather
just have a shortcut to "control hotplug.dll" in my start menu.
I have a USB scanner connected all the time, so it never goes away.
